TIMOTHY M. WHITING
Timothy M. Whiting became a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association in 1994 and the Illinois State Bar Association in 1995 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Before opening his own law firm in 2001, he worked with Hinshaw and Culbertson, a large, multi-state insurance defense firm where Mr. Whiting specialized in personal injury and medical malpractice actions on behalf of defendants, including physicians and hospitals.
Early experience as a defense lawyer has given Tim a unique perspective and advantage in his representation of his clients who are victims of personal injury. For his efforts in representing victims of negligent conduct Tim has been recognized by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company as one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under Age 40 in Illinois. Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the top legal publication which rates lawyers skills nationwide, has distinguished Mr. Whiting with the Highest Ranking for Legal Ability and Success for an attorney in his age category and experience level. Tim has also obtained successful personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death recoveries in nine different counties in four different states.
Tim serves on the Board of Catholic Charities, its Legal Advisory Committee and the Patron Board for St. Sylvester Parish School. He routinely performs pro-bono legal services for Alderman's Solis and Flores Constituents, Catholic Charities Free Supper's Night, and the Law Center for Disability and Elder Victims. Tim is a member of the Hispanic National and Hispanic Illinois Bar Associations, and the Lake County, the Walworth County, and the Chicago Bar Associations. Tim is also a frequent lecturer at various bar association seminars throughout the state on civil and tort litigation matters and managing a successful law practice.
