SHEILA P. HIESTAND
Sheila Hiestand was born in Levittown, Pennsylvania, but has been a Kentucky resident since 1977. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Centre College in 1990 with a double major in English and Spanish. While at Centre, Sheila played for the Lady Colonels basketball team, which competed in the NCAA Division III Final Four during both her junior and senior years. Sheila obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1993, after which time she joined the law firm of Landrum & Shouse, where she became a partner in 1998. She joined the Becker Law Office in 2000 and then began her practice with Bubalo, Hiestand & Rotman in 2004, where she focuses her practice on personal injury litigation and medical negligence litigation.
Sheila has been married to David Hiestand since 1992, and they are the proud parents of Michael, Maggie and Grace. She has served as Chair for the Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyer Section, and as a member of the Board of Governors. She was named Fayette County Bar Association Outstanding Young Lawyer in 1998, and is rated as an AV Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. Sheila has served as a Board Member with the Alzheimer's Association of Lexington, where she was Co-Chair for the annual Memory Walk, and has also served as a Board Member for the Volunteer Center of the Bluegrass.
Sheila is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Sheila P. Hiestand is also a member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
