MICHAEL R. COWEN

Michael R. Cowen works tirelessly to hold reckless trucking companies responsible for the devastation they wreak in the lives of innocent motorists. His firm, The Cowen Law Group, is dedicated to thoroughly investigating truck crashes to determine whether they were just accidents, or the result of corporations breaking the rules. Michael's commitment to legal excellence began in law school, where he graduated with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law. He distinguished himself right out of the chute when he earned the high score on the February 1996 Texas bar exam. After working at the nation's oldest law firm in New York City, Michael returned home to Brownsville, Texas in 1997, and has focused his practice on giving individual human beings the same level of legal representation that he gave to some of the nation's largest companies while in New York. Michael has spoken at many continuing legal education seminars, including the State Bar of Texas' trucking seminar as well as seminars put on by the American Association for Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Attorneys Information Exchange Group, Hidalgo County Bar Association, and the Cameron County Trial Lawyers Association. Michael is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubble, and was named a Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers in 2007 and 2008.
