MARTIN D. COHEN
Martin Cohen, founder of the firm, is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Temple University School of Law.
With over 25 years of legal experience, he is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and is a member of the American Trial Lawyers' Association and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers' Association. He has also been voted as one of Pennsylvania's "Super Lawyers®” for a number of years in a row.
Cohen has achieved the prestigious “AV®” rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory Bar Register. The “A” signifies the highest levels of legal ability and the “V” denotes “very high” adherence to professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence. This rating is the result of a peer review system based upon the confidential opinions of practicing attorneys and members of the judiciary.
He has served as a speaker at various association meetings and legal seminars. He appeared on the Sunday “Today Show” and was featured and extensively quoted in the book, “The Jury: Trial and Error in the American Courtroom”, by Stephen J. Adler, legal editor of “The Wall Street Journal”.
Cohen is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and various United States District Courts. Within Lehigh and Northampton Counties, he has obtained many of the highest jury awards and settlements, many in excess of $1 million.
His activities include various charitable, consumer and civic organizations. Cohen is also a founder and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ambassador Bank of the Commonwealth. In addition, he formed the Martin D. Cohen Family Foundation. As Director, Cohen's Foundation assists numerous charitable endeavors and annually, awards over fifty scholarships to high school students to further their education.
