JENNIFER MOORE
Jennifer A. Moore received the first University of Kentucky Law School Young Professional Award in 2008. This award is designated for individuals who graduated within the past 10 years and have distinguished themselves professionally in the community.
Jennifer Moore was selected in 2005 as Kentucky’s “Outstanding Young Lawyer” by the Kentucky Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. She was also featured in the September 2006 issue of Today’s Woman as one of eight Louisville “Way to Go Woman” honorees. That same month the cover story for the weekly magazine, Velocity, profiled her legal accomplishments. Jennifer has dedicated her practice to representing individuals who have been injured as a result of an automobile accident, truck accident, motorcycle accident, dog bite, or slip and fall. She also focuses her practice in the areas of wrongful death, medical negligence, and products liability.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Transylvania University with a major in Political Science in 1995. Jennifer received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1998. While attending law school, Jennifer served as Associate Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal (1997-98) and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Following her graduation from law school, Jennifer clerked for the Honorable Boyce F. Martin, Jr., Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
In addition to fighting for the rights of the injured, Jennifer devotes her time to various community and political organizations. She serves on the board of directors for the U.S. Marine Hospital Foundation, the Kentucky Democratic Party, the Kentucky Justice Association, Young Lawyers Section of the Kentucky Bar Association, and Louisville Metro Women’s Political Caucus, as well as being a member of the Kentucky Supreme Court Rules Committee. Jennifer served as Chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party from 2007 to 2009.
