J. KYLE BACHUS

J. Kyle Bachus is a founding partner of Bachus & Schanker, LLC. Mr. Bachus graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. degree and from the University of Florida College of Law where he was awarded a Juris Doctor degree. Mr. Bachus is licensed to practice law in both the Federal and State courts in the State of Colorado and the State of Florida.

Mr. Bachus actively litigates cases involving catastrophic injuries, serious personal and financial damage, wrongful death, insurance bad faith and medical malpractice. Mr. Bachus limits his practice to the representation of victims and their families. It is important that victims seek an experienced semi-truck accident, auto accident, motorcycle accident, product liability, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, and personal injury attorney familiar with Colorado state law.

In 2001, Mr. Bachus was chosen as Outstanding Trial Lawyer by the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of The Colorado Bar Association, The Denver Bar Association, The Florida Bar Association, The Florida Justice Association, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, The National Crime Victims Bar Association, The Academy of Catastrophic Injury Attorneys, and The American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America). Mr. Bachus is currently serving his eighth year as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Additionally, Mr. Bachus also serves as one of the only two elected representatives from the State of Colorado on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice.

In 2005, Kyle Bachus was appointed to serve as the co-chair of the Colorado Trial Lawyers’ Association Auto Litigators Committee, a position he continues to hold. In 2007, Mr. Bachus was named by the national legal publication, Lawdragon, as one of The Top 500 Leading Personal Injury Lawyers in America. Mr. Bachus was also featured in the 2007 and 2008 editions of Colorado’s 5280 magazine, naming him as a Colorado Super Lawyer, earning this distinction by upholding the highest legal, professional and ethical standards.

In 2003-2004, Mr. Bachus participated in the national Trial Lawyers Care program, which was established to help victims of the 9/11 tragedies and their families with their claims to the United States Government. Through this pro-bono program, Mr. Bachus represented a New York EMT who suffered disabling injuries at the World Trade Center site.

Mr. Bachus continues to be a guest lecturer at seminars and conventions sponsored by numerous organizations including The Colorado Bar Association, The Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and The National Business Institute.

Mr. Bachus has extensive litigation and jury trial experience. He has litigated cases to trial verdict in both State and Federal Court in the State of Florida, the State of Colorado, the State of Missouri and the State of Washington. He has also presented oral arguments before the Fifth District Court of Appeals for the State of Florida and the Colorado Court of Appeals.

In addition to representing victims in a number of practice areas, including complex personal injury and medical malpractice claims, Mr. Bachus is a dedicated attorney serving individuals throughout Colorado. His personal philosophy incorporates a strong commitment to understanding the circumstances confronting his clients and a vigorous will to see that responsible parties are held accountable for the damages they have caused in an effort to achieve justice for his clients.
