GARY V. CONCHIN

Gary V. Conchin was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, October 25, 1953. He attended Madison Academy Elementary School in Huntsville and graduated from Hazel Green High School. He is married with two children, Jason and Gary. Over the past 15 years he has been active in coaching youth sports in the City of Huntsville. Mr. Conchin began his college days at David Lipscomb College , and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1975 with a B.S. Degree. He attended Birmingham School of Law and received a Juris Doctorate in 1979. Mr. Conchin was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 1979, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama and The US Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit in 1982. He was a faculty member of the Alabama Bar Institute from 1987 to 1991, and served on the Governors' Task Force on Workers' Compensation, and the Drafting Committee of Alabama Trial Lawyer's Association for the rewrite of the Alabama Workers' Compensation Laws, in 1992. He also served on the Madison County Bar Association's Grievance Committee, and the Huntsville-Madison County Trial Lawyers Association Executive Committee from 1982 until 1985.
Mr. Conchin is currently a member of the Madison County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, where he is a member of the Litigation, Labor, and Employment Law, Tort and Insurance Practice Law section. He is also a member of the Alabama State Bar, Huntsville-Madison County Trial Lawyers Association , Alabama Trial Lawyers Association Executive Committee, (1988 to present), and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Mr. Conchin is the 22nd Alabama attorney to be certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Advocate, specializing in personal injury and wrongful death trials.
Mr. Conchin has recently been honored in The Best Lawyers in America 2008, and he is also a member of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), with access to its library of auto industry documents.
