ROBERT J. CAMP
The Cochran Firm, with 26 locations nationwide
Robert J. Camp, an attorney since 2002, leads the Firm's Alabama Wage and Hour Section. Prior to joining the Firm he served as Vice President of Human Resources and Safety for one of Alabama's largest privately held companies. He has over nine years experience in human resources, OSHA compliance, workers' compensation, labor relations, union contract negotiations, employee benefits, risk management, management, and general manufacturing. He received his Certificate in Labor Relations Management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, his Juris Doctor from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. In March of 2007 Robert was named General Counsel for The Cochran Firm nationally.
Robert is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program. He is a former member of the National Chicken Council Human Resource Committee, the National Chicken Council Safety Committee, the Poultry Industry Compensation and Benefit Survey Committee, the Alabama Poultry Fraternity, the Risk Insurance Management Society, and the Society for Human Resource Management. Robert is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts of the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.
Robert's prior experience representing the interests of corporations gives him a unique insight into the minds of corporate executives and the legal strategies utilized by corporate defense attorneys to defend employment and labor claims.
