JEROME CARTER
The Cochran Firm, with 26 locations nationwide
Jerome C. Carter is one of the managing partners in the Mobile office of the Cochran Firm. Mr. Carter graduated from Baker High School in Mobile, Alabama. He earned a scholarship to attend Marion Military Institute and later received his Bachelors Degree from the University of South Alabama in 1991. In 1995, he graduated from the Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. Upon admission to the Alabama Bar, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for Mobile County. In September of 2000, he went into private practice focusing his practice in areas of personal injury, criminal defense, family law and probate law. He is currently appointed Special Temporary Judge for the Mobile County Probate Court.
Mr. Carter served in the Alabama Army National Guard and was called to federal duty for Operation Noble Eagle II in 2002 as a battalion executive officer.
Mr. Carter is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association; the Mobile Bar Association; American Trial Lawyers Associate; the Mobile Bay Area Bar Association; the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; and the Inn of Courts. He is also a member of the Mobile Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.
